Now Is The Time To Speak!

As I evolve as a medium I have discovered a common thread in all of my readings and that is people have stopped communicating.   In this age of information overload it appears that people have forgotten the art of conversation when now is the time to speak!

I am all for modern technology in fact I thrive on it but I do not want it to take over my life.  I remember escorting a tour group to Hong Kong in 1998 and noticing that most people were walking around with mobile devices attached to their ears completely oblivious to the people around them.  Little did I know at the time that I was taking a mental snapshot of what life was going to be like for all of us in the future.  I call memories like these my ‘freeze frame’ moments and I have so many of them.

I get very frustrated with people who abbreviate everything and that includes the media.  It is also extremely frustrating to receive emails or text messages that are sent in some form of ‘shorthand’ and with no name to identify the sender.  I am a medium not a ‘mind reader’ so details are very important to me in order to answer whatever it is I am being asked especially if someone is in need of guidance.  I sometimes wonder if people actually read what they have written before they send or post it.

It is very sad for me to see two people sitting together in a restaurant with barely a word spoken between them and then I find myself wondering why they are together.  So many people ask me what I see about their relationships and more often than not I am shown that the channels of communication between them are broken.  This is particularly true where families are concerned.  Sadly it is the children who are affected the most when communication within the family unit shuts down.  I have met too many people during readings whose lives have been wrecked due to their family’s failure to communicate the truth to them which is unforgivable.

Some of the most heart breaking moments I have experienced during readings are when people come to me seeking validation from loved ones who have passed.  This is very distressing particularly when there is unfinished business or words that were left unspoken.

If people confronted their issues head-on instead of ‘sweeping them under the carpet’ there would be far less strife in this world.

Dear cynthia, I have just read the above and I too have seen people at dinner conversing with whoever is on the other end of their mobile/cell phone, rather than talk to each other.
Take care in these uncertain times.
    Many blessings
